Beautiful Winter Warmers

Today I have made a little Zaful wishlist with some lovely cosy items for the cold months . I don't know about you but I sometimes tend to get a bit lazy with chilly weather outfits and tend to go for the warmest things without putting much thought into the look. However, it is possible to look great and stylish and also stay snug at the same time and I am determined not to fall into the same rut of dark colours and shapeless layers when the temperature drops.

Winter warmers!

While we are all thinking about our fall wardrobes and chunky knits , it's important to still feel feminine and luxurious . Also the festive season is quickly creeping up on us so we really need to start thinking about sophisticated looks . For me. in the winter months I like to invest is beautiful underwear . There is something so nice when you know you are wearing a really special item even though nobody can see it, or you can have it seductively peeking out of a a top or shirt. So you have probably guessed I've got a bit of a thing for shorts and I actually think black shorts like the ones in my Zaful wish list are perfect for the new trend of shorter lengths if like me you are a bit apprehensive of mini skirts with bare legs. They are achieve the same look but you don't need to worry about the whole world seeing your underwear!
I suggest choosing a pair that is quite tailored and teaming it with a shirt for a more seasonal appropriate look. Pleats and Ribbons

The weather is definitely warranting a bit of a wardrobe over hall this week , although living in Greece means that full on winter clothing is along way off. However, bright Summer prints and too much floatiness seems inappropriate and I find myself looking for a bit of structure that is not too rigid. This pretty blue blouse or top/shirt ( not quite sure what you would class is as! ) from Zaful is perfect in the sense that the it nods to a shirt with the pale blue stripes and navy and white pinstripe but is it is still playful and extremely feminine. I really love the love arm holes and the ribbons on the side as they really add an element of surprise to this item. It is quite short , so unless you want to be stomach flashing I would say that high waisted is the way to go. Also because it flairs out above the waist , it really creates the illusion of a tiny waist and shapely hips. If you are blessed in the breast department, definitely size up as overall the sizing is not very generous . The fabric is lovely and cool and I imagine it will look amazing with layers come colder days.

Pick of the day. the fist buys for fall

The days are slowly getting shorter and although we are technically still in Summer, there is a general shift towards autumn and all that it entails. In terms of my wardrobe , bright colours now seem a bit past it and I am starting to veer towards darker tones that will transition me into the new season. One of the sites I always check out when I want to update my look , either at the beginning of the season or mid through, is Zaful. They have new items every day and are really good at high fashion dupes at a fraction of the price. I find their dresses  amazing and most of them are great value for money and many of my favourite dresses this Summer have been from this site and I am hoping to get some great finds for Autumn and Winter. One of the first thing I was looking for was a black long sleeve midi dress  and again I found some great items . In particular I wanted something floral because I am not quite ready to go full on dark and floral are lovely for autumn and are also a huge trend as seen on all the catwalks.

The Green Bikini

We are now in the heart of Summer and a green bikini is actually the perfect way to set of your tan.
You can go for a tropical vibrant print or a minimalist khaki, olive version which in my opinion is always very flattering and looks sophisticated in the same way black and white does.

I love the print on this green bikini as it is vibrant but in a toned down way and I especially like the cut of the top . After all the lacing, cut outs , straps etc, it is nice to have a simple silhouette and this particular one is comfortable but quite supportive.

The Floral Bikini Set

We all know that floral is a major trend this season, so what better way to adopt the trend than a beautiful floral bikini set .I have already bought a blue bikini which is a staple colour for me every Summer as well as a white one as they seem like the perfect colours for Greece especially the islands.
So I have turned my eye to a floral number which is novel for me as I normally don't opt for prints. However, after spotting some girls in floral bikinis it got me thinking that it would be quite nice to make a break from my normal staples. Also my misconceptions of them being a bit childish or mumsy, were quickly dispelled when I saw the great cuts that are super sophisticated .

This is one of my favourites as it has a retro feel and the cut is very flattering and on trend.Also at just over $20 dollars it is definitely value for money and is a swimsuit set that I think would certainly get plenty of wear. Just add a big straw hat  some black sunglasses and a cocktail....

The print on this bikini is so dainty and the colour combination is great .This is a bikini for the more trend driven girl as it literally covers everything..off the shoulder, lace up, brazilian bottoms....and at under $15  it is too good to be true.

I mentioned earlier the blue bikini  and I could not finish this post without sharing some styles that I like. For me blue is a go to colours for just about everything and in the Summer I like lighter shades that are happy but also have a clean fresh feel about them, so swimwear is no exception!

I have had my eye on this one for a while and I am finally ordering it.It takes me a while to build up my confidence, so I usually start the season with more basic pieces that I bore off and then look for something more exciting.The colour is perfect as is the plunging neckline and high waisted briefs and again at under $20 it is a real bargain . I find that I like to spend more on my basic swimwear and save on swimwear that is more exciting and impressive but which i will probably not get as much wear out of. So this kind of price point is ideal as it means I can get a few show off pieces without breaking the bank.

Be a pin up girl with a high waisted push up bikini!

 I was at the beach at the weekend and i have never seen so many barely clothed bottoms ...!
Don't get me wrong, if you' ve got it , flaunt it! What bothered me was that everyone seemed to be wearing the same thing, you know, side cut out, very little coverage bottoms. And then I saw a girl in a high waisted bikini push up bikini and I have to say she looked sexier but in a less obvious way. The pin up look was a winner , not only for originality, but it was so feminine and comfortable I would imagine. There is a misconception that this swimwear is to cover lumps and bumps. Not so!
We should all be be proud of our bodies and if you want to wear a skimpy bikini you should regardless of shape and size.The high waisted bikini is a style statement and does come with benefits, pert breasts, longer legs and curves being some of them!
