Move over minimalist , there is a new girl in town and she does not do things in halves...velvet, sequins, feathers, metallics, prints, she wears it all, alltogether and she can pull it off!
So if you are a daredavil you will love the new looks that are flooding the stores, and although I usually shy away from over the top drama , this season I will be dabling in a bit of glitz.After all who doesn't need a bit of sparkle in their lives , especially in the dull dark Winter days.The key to keeping it modern is looking like you haven't tried too hard, keep hair and make up simple, pile on the layers and have fun...WAG is not the goal here!Use plain t-shirts under dresses and chunky heels and add a choker . Boot up!

Hello, I am afraid I haven't posted all week as it has been a crazy one ! Back to school for my little one which is so stressful and I miss him so much after spending all Summer together .So much to organise , and sort out ! But I feel I  have got it together. sort off!
I am mainly wearing sneakers and sandals at the moment as it is still hot  here , but I have started think about boots...the problem is that there are so many options this season. I have come to the conclusion that I need three pairs, ankle, knee-high and over the knee....so much to organise again !

Two ways to style your sneakers this season!

Sneakers, trainers, whatever ! They are everywhere and surely we all now have a pair of white sporties but this season we need not be limited to the all white versions. Sure they are very stylish but personally , I am getting a bit bored....yawn yawn , of them.Obviously I still wear them but I am on the lookout for some alternatives and also how to style them because , let's be honest the white ones literally go with everything.So here is what I have come up with.

It's Raining , It's pouring...!

It appears saddly that even in sunny Greece the Summer is over ,  at least for a few days. It is raining and cold and overcast, so naturally my thoughts are turning to winter clothing and more specifically coats. There is nothing like a great coat , be it a mac, a wool coat or a duffle coat. It has the power to make or break your outfit and in my opinion investing in good outerwear is money well spent. So while bombers and bikers are great , today I am interested in beautiful coats that will see me through winter and all those beautifully cold , windy days.

Occasion Dressing this Fall with Coast and Olivia Palermo

Many people look forward to special occasions in Summer as the weather justifies light airy fabrics , pretty prints and the general mood is more whimsical and carefree. I have to admit though that I love occasionwear in winter . The darker colours and rich fabrics have a theatrical quality about them and a sense of drama that their Summer counterparts are somewhat lacking in.

How To Look Great On The School Run

So you know how you have to take your kids to school in the morning and everything is crazy and you just throw on whatever, barely manage to brush your teeth, forget about the hair and makeup, in fact you just might  get away with your PJs and a big coat and out the door you go, telling yourself that noone will see you and then you can scuttle back home and get ready properly.Only we all  know it doesnt't work out this way. The glam squad are all there ( you know like the mean popular clique of girls that made you feel like poop when you were at school, only now they are grown up, have more money and somehow manage to get a blow out before 8 am in the morning ! Give me a break!), but who cares, just drop of the kids and you will be off....until the teacher wants a word with you, or you forgot about a little celebration you have to stay for , or one of the mums tells you they are all going for coffee , and would you like to join EVERYONE???
So this was me for the best part of last year when my son started junior school and after a series of embarassing instances I realised I needed to get it together. I am not a morning person and like to take my time getting ready, but looking like a  bedraggled bag lady in front of the class teacher is not a good look. So how can you look great for the school run. the coffee run or any rushed thing you have to do on any given morning? The key is to have a few easy basics to fall back on that will make you look effortlessy put together in a matter of minutes. As a friend of mine said , it takes longer to put on sweatpants and trainers than it does to slip into a dress and pumps....too true.
So this is a guide for lazybums like me...don't get caught out again and you seriously don't need the blow out...just you know , make sure you brush your hair...

Last of the August sunsets

Even though  I am blessed to live in a hot country, I still love Summer and I feel melancholic when it comes to an end. The weather is still beautiful , but knowing that August is officially over puts me in an autumnal state of mind. So last evening we went for a walk by the sea to enjoy the last sunset of the month and what a beautiful one it was! I love how the colours change so quickly in those last moments when the sun is setting.
